Marlin brings to Norwich Ventures three decades of experience as an entrepreneur and leader in the medical device industry. He is actively involved in the investment process at the firm.
Prior to co-founding Norwich Ventures, Marlin co-founded and served for 28 years as Chairman and CEO of Arrow International, a developer and manufacturer of critical and cardiac-care medical devices. Under Marlin's leadership Arrow grew from an idea into a multi-billion dollar public company with locations throughout North America, Europe, India, Japan and South Africa. Prior to founding Arrow, Marlin spent three years as Vice President of Connors Investor Services, an asset management company specializing in small, fast growing companies. In other health care related activities he serves as a Trustee of the Reading Hospital and as Chairman of the Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central Pennsylvania. Previously he served on the board of AdvaMed, an association of medical device manufacturers.
Marlin earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University. He currently serves as a Trustee of Alfred University and previously served on the Dean's Advisory Board at Harvard Business School.
When not focused on new medical technologies, Marlin takes a passionate interest in art, particularly ceramic art. He can regularly be found scouting for up-and-coming ceramic artists as well as trying new techniques at his home kiln.
