Phil has been designing and building medical devices for most of his professional career. He has brought numerous products to market and uses that expertise at Norwich Ventures to assess new technologies and assist entrepreneurs with building their companies. Phil currently serves on the Board of Directors for Affera and Lexington Medical. He is also actively involved with Podimetrics. Previously, he served on the board of Rhythmia Medical (acquired by Boston Scientific).
Prior to joining Norwich Ventures, Phil was the President and COO of Arrow International, with oversight of worldwide R&D and manufacturing. In addition, Phil oversaw opening the first-ever manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic by a U.S. company. Before his thirty-year career at Arrow, Phil was an engineer at Rockwell International and Atlas Chemical Industries. Phil serves on the executive board of the Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central Pennsylvania.
Phil earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. He has attended University of Pennsylvania for graduate work in mechanical engineering and has attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Outside of Norwich Ventures, Phil is passionate about collecting and restoring classic automobiles. He is an avid member of the car collecting community and judges at numerous concours events. Phil serves on the executive board of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles and chairs the collections committee.
