He spent five years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on medical device, biotech, and pharmaceutical product strategy and M&A. Jamie's client work there spanned the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. Jamie also spent two years at a New York City hedge fund as the pharmaceutical and medical device analyst. He holds several board seats with various healthcare organizations.

Jamie earned an M.D. from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics from Oxford University, and an A.B. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College.

Outside of medicine, Jamie is an active outdoorsman. During the summer he can regularly be seen cycling and rowing. In the winter, Jamie travels extensively with his skis and has made first descents on three continents. He also serves the US Ski Team as a team physician.
